IPaT Thursday Think Tank: Healthcare Data HowTo

In this Think Tank we will review how to get started with and grow research efforts working with protected healthcare data at Georgia Tech. This will include our capacity to host data with HIPAA and Data Usage Agreement (DUA) specific requirements in the Georgia Tech Protected Health Data Infrastructure (PHDI), and an overview of the CMS data repository and existing IRB protocol for those interested in using this dataset. PHDI and the CMS data repository are available for GT researchers regardless of their affiliation (including GTRI). We plan to finish with a faculty roundtable discussing upcoming funding and collaboration opportunities, and an exploration of future healthcare data and platform needs.

The session will be held via BlueJeans (https://bluejeans.com/676296358/1383). It will be moderated by Matt Sanders, Director of Research Operations for the Institute for People and Technology and Richard Starr, Research Scientist for the Institute for People and Technology.
